MONTVILLES HOUSE ON THE HILL

FACILITIES

The House on the Hill sleeps up to eight people in four generous sized bedrooms.   They are furnished in simple French country style with linen upholstered bedheads and a theme of birds and butterflies on the covers of the fluffy doonas.   Each room has large windows that look out to the garden and forest or across the hill, curtains and blinds provide privacy.

There are two large bathrooms, each with a freestanding bath and walk in shower,  fluffy towels sit on the timber vanities under the well lit mirrors.

The laundry doubles as powder room, there is a washing machine and dryer and a butlers sink sits in a 3 m granite bench below a big mirror.  This area would be ideal for brides having their hair done and making wedding preparations or just an additional wet area when there are a number of people sharing the house. The separate toilet adjoins this area, while the second toilet is in the blue bathroom.

The gourmet country kitchen features a long granite bench with room for up to 8 stools, making cooking and gathering in the kitchen a pleasure.  Fully equiped with European appliances including 900mm Smeg electric oven and gas cooktop and Miele dishwasher you have all you need to indulge the master chef in your group.  The extendable oak dining table seats up to 12 people.  Enjoy the view from every window.

Modern leather sofas in the lounge face the view to the paddocks and forest beyond the garden.  A fireplace and rug keep it cozy in winter and the timber bifold doors open fully to create an inside/outside space for summer.

There is simple outdoor seating and a large Weber BBQ on the covered verandah for casual dining.   The carport provides protection from the elements for 2 cars.

A welcome hamper is provided with your booking including local Maleny milk, homemade granola, OJ and yoghurt.  There is a small supply of tea and coffee in the kitchen for your use. Also an Aldi pod machine with some pods.

All linen is included, beds are made up and dishwasher tablets and a small supply of washing powder are provided for your stay
